The Department of Economics of the University of the Peloponnese was founded in 2003. In 2013 it became part of the School of Economics Management and Computer Science, which has been renamed School of Economics and Technology since 2019. The department offers an undergraduate programme in Economics (BSc in Economics) and it is located at Tripoli Campus.
The main objective of the Department is to promote education and research in the field of economics. The Department of Economics runs undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes of study. All graduates possess the essential knowledge, skills and capabilities, according to the National Qualifications Network (NQN), and are fully qualified to apply economic theory in all aspects of financial decision-making.
