Department of Economic Sciences - Message from the Chair

The Department of Economics is part of the School of Economics and Technology of the University of the Peloponnese and it is located in Tripoli. It is one of the oldest and most thriving departments of the university, with multifaceted academic, professional and social activity. 

All members of academic staff are actively involved in a wide range of activities that promote academic and professional excellence. We aspire to make our department a modern, academic, research and student centre, placing particular emphasis on theoretical and applied knowledge in economics and related fields. A centre for social cooperation, entrepreneurship, innovation, student-centred services and strong academic ethics. Our large selection of constantly updated modules in all subjects of study in the field of economics, our modern facilities, our innovative and challenging postgraduate and PhD programmes with the participation of highly committed research students, all our students and members of staff contribute to the promotion of knowledge and the support of our society.
